Hello and Happy New Year! Welcome to 2013!
I'm really looking forward to the year ahead and bringing new and exciting posts to this blog. It's been a fantastic few months for myself hosting this blog, which as you know, was first published in the beginning of September. For me, this blog has been a great success. With over 8,000 actual page views, I hope I have brought some inspiring ideas and stories to my readers.
This post brings you the best of 2012 based on reader comments and page views.
Starting from the bottom and counting down to your #1 favourite post, I bring you:
10. Owls, Owls Everywhere!
Owls are still everywhere. In jewellery, stationary, giftware and on clothing and handbags, the likeness of the owl is ever popular today as it was in the Fall. Owls are trendy, playful, and have youthful appeal. I happen to have several pieces in decor and jewellery and I am always looking for more.
9. Guest Room Tour
Back in October, I spent the night in my own guest room and it was a gratifying experience. The room is cozy, fitted with cottage style furniture, vintage finds, and a soft palette of pastel blue, lilac, and green. I wouldn't object to being a guest there more often!
8. Medicine Cabinet Re-do
This medicine cabinet was once plain white inside, until leftover wallpaper scraps turned it into a beauty. It goes to show you anything can be customized and suited to your [stylish] taste.
7. Vintage Wrought Iron Beds
Charming, rustic, and beautiful are words I would use to describe vintage wrought iron beds. This post made the top 5 with hits through internet searches.
6. It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas
This was the first of many Christmas posts to set the mood for the festive season. It included images of my "pins". I'm active in Pinterest almost every day. Check out my pinboards here and become a follower to subscribe to decorating ideas, pretty spaces, storage solutions, flower arranging ideas, and much, much more.
5. Creative Ideas for Tie Backs
4. Beautiful Vintage Glass Ornaments
Many people collect vintage ornaments for their beauty and nostaglia. I offered advice on where to buy them, unless you've been fortunate enough to have been given grandma's delicate sets.
3. A Shabby Chic Christmas
Shabby chic may not be for everyone, but it made the top 3 in this list. What I like about it is that there is a lot of vintage in the mix. The palette is also very soothing compared to traditional seasonal colours.
2. Enamelware
Sometimes the ideas for a post come to me by looking around the house, and this was one them. I adore enamelware. I have one soap dish and a few pitchers myself. Little did I know this post would make the #2 spot.
1. Oversized Clocks
Your favourite post of 2012 is oversized clocks. I still lack a better term than "oversized", but they are what they are, and to me they are fantastic pieces of art. If you're searching where to buy one for your home, come back this week for an updated post on oversized clocks.
That concludes the...
Glad you joined me here today. Have a wonderful day!

I really enjoy this blog so far. There are some great posts here in the top 10. I have a vintage bed in my daughter's room and it's quite unique. We both enjoy it.
